The Layman's Future Car?

Personal Rating

Having recently gone under minor changes, the Toyota Prius C, described by autotrader.co.nz's David Linklater as being "New Zealand's smallest and least expensive hybrid", is "quite cheerful". With an ever-growing emphasis on the need to look after consecutive future generations, will this miniature hybrid become the most common sight on New Zealand roads in the years to come? What this model brings to the table isn't only it's outstanding fuel economy, but also in the features within the cabin. "The steering wheel carries the soft-touch controls from the larger Prius, which include handy settings for the air conditioning. Put a finger on the appropriate button and instantly the corresponding menu comes up on the (small) information screen in the centre console. The ‘display’ button gives you access to a variety of eco-themed graphics, including the signature Prius energy monitor (which shows you where the power is coming from in real-time) and a couple of graphs that show you how well you’re doing in terms of economy and even money spent on fuel"
